Exclusively for guests of The Nines Hotel Portland, we proudly offer complimentary Epicurean Wine Tastings daily!
Nines guests are invited daily from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM to try local and regional wines on the 8th floor in The Nines Living Room. During this time, guests will try complimentary tastes of delightful wines and hear the stories behind each one. Our expertly trained staff will walk guests through the offerings and provide insight into the profiles and tasting notes of each wine.
Wine provided at the Epicurean Wine Tasting will be available for sale by the bottle as a memento of your time at The Nines, to enjoy in your room, or to share with friends in our comfortable and spacious Nines Living Room!
Guests not staying in the hotel may purchase a tasting through our expertly trained server.
Small bites are also available through “The Living Room Menu” at Urban Farmer!

A Timeless Landmark in Portland’s Downtown Culture
Rich in history and accentuated with a diverse past, this iconic monument featured the first escalator installation in Portland and, in 1922, also functioned as the studio for Meier & Frank’s very own radio station. At its peak, the building housed everything from a pharmacy, to a pet store, to a deli and served as Clark Gable’s place of employment prior to him meeting fame and fortune as an actor in the 1930’s.
Through all of its alluring past, the Meier & Frank Building has remained steadfast as a timeless landmark in Portland’s downtown culture.
